“A problem was detected with the TrueDepth camera. Face ID has been disabled.”

The TrueDepth camera utilizes a method of projecting thousands of invisible dots onto your face and then analyzing their patterns to construct a detailed depth map. Simultaneously, it captures an infrared image of your facial features to ensure precision in facial recognition. This data is then processed by the neural engine embedded in the Bionic chip, which converts the depth map and infrared image into a mathematical model of your unique facial structure. In the case of Face ID, this model is compared with your pre-registered facial data to authenticate and grant access to your device.
